My capstone proposal was accepted!!!
As an honors student, I need to do a research project of my choosing called a capstone. You need to submit a proposal in the semester prior to the start of your project. This proposal has to be approved by a board of professors before you can start. They usually accept proposals but often with additional edits or modifications, which means a re-submission of your proposal for review again, usually during the summer. My proposal was just accepted out right, which makes me so happy!
Now normally, you get about one semester (3 months) to do your research, and then at the end of the year, you present your findings. The final product is usually in the form of a research paper that averages around 30 pages. I got wind that someone researched screenplay writing and wrote a screenplay for his capstone... soooo, I decided it'd be cool to try and make my hobby into my research project.
Next semester, I will be doing 3 traditional paintings based on research into art history, theory, design, perception, aesthetics, and brainstorming. Basically anything art related.

The idea is to formulate an idea and communicate that idea through a piece of art. Now, it sounds hard, but I think I can do it.
I don't know how I'm going to be graded yet. I still need to work that out with my adviser, but hopefully, it'll be through completion. 24 blog entries with research in them and 3 paintings + whatever sketches and brainstorming I did. I don't think it's fair for an amateur artist to be graded on his ability to communicate his ideas, especially with only a few months to learn this stuff. I will use research findings to create my pieces though.

Anyways, blog will be
[link] I probably won't start writing in it for a few weeks.
I've yet to work on the design, but I'll get on that soon. It'll probably be very simple and look like nothing. hahahaha
I'm really tired right now and overly happy that I actually get to do this.
